Once again, students from sixth grade took part of their time to help first graders review their end of unit vocabulary. This time, they played BINGO!!!
For two days, students from sixth grade B and D shared a moment which they will always remember. Each one had a role to perform, one was the bingo singer, another was the bingo board and chips distributer, another the sticker giver and some just walked around helping the little ones to place the chips on the right square.
Sixth graders students had many questions about the little ones such as “Will they understand when I talk to them”, “Will they behave, if not what should I do”? …….. and… there they were the little ones, perfectly seated, with their desks empty of class material waiting for the big ones to arrive and ready to play BINGO.
If something touched my heart from this activity was how the big brothers and sisters were moved when they saw those little human beings speaking in English. What a beautiful experience we all had!!!
